BUTCOMBE RETURN AND REFUND POLICY:
BUTCOMBE BREWERY ULLAGE POLICY
This policy relates to any product delivered for or on behalf of Butcombe Brewery.
Through rigorous application of good brewing practise Butcombe Brewery strives to ensure that high quality products are served to the customer in accordance with our specifications.
However, we do recognise that on occasions problems do occur. It is our policy to resolve all quality problems in order to prevent their reoccurrence.
Should a quality problem occur, and it is established that the beer was faulty when received from the brewery we aim to ensure that appropriate credit is issued within 21 days of the fault being reported.
If any product is not in perfect condition, it should be removed from dispense immediately by the customer and the fault reported.
ULLAGE CREDIT CRITERIA
1. Ullage must be reported via our telesales team to ensure correct paperwork is generated by warehouse administrators.
2. Goods received back at Butcombe Brewery will be verified and any discrepancies with paperwork or depot decisions will be raised for investigation (e.g. validity of leaker claims). A recommendation will then be made for the contents returned providing the following information has been provided:
Account Name
Product Type and Size
Best before date
Date Returned
Gyle Number
How much you believe is remaining in the container.
Once inspected & weighed we will review and decide if credit is to be made if the criteria below has been met.
a) The product was reported to the Butcombe telesales team within, and was not on sale beyond its best before date.
b) The product has not been adulterated or container been tampered with
c) All identification labelling is present.
d) The minimum volume criteria have been met.
3. Credit will be issued for the full nominal contents of the container, regardless of returned contents in the following situations:
a) Verified container leakage.
b) Absence of labels, identified at the receipt of the goods only.
c) Problems with removing product from the container.
d) An identified production fault with the container/contents
Outside the above conditions, no credit will be issued.
ULLAGE CONTENTS CRITERIA
4. The minimum contents criteria as referred to in section 2d above, refers to the fact that credit is only payable if the Butcombe minimum quantities defined below are exceeded (except where defined in section 3 above). The Butcombe minimum content is applicable to all customers.

5. Ullage requests that are not accepted will be communicated by the Butcombe telesales team.
PRODUCT ADULTERATION
6. Butcombe Brewery reserves the right to inspect any returned product and where adulteration is suspected, credit may be withheld. This includes the practise of ‘Filtering Back’ which has an adverse effect on quality and also contravenes legislation. In the interest of product quality, Butcombe Brewery also reserves the right to arrange a technical services or Trade Quality visit to the customer’s premises to inspect the product and dispense conditions, where samples may be taken as a part of this inspection.
